 This type of virus is most irritating and annoying.It always shows a shortcut whenever a USB drive is plugged in.And everywhere you have type the command to open it.you can see this pic below what the command is.What this command does is whenever a USB drive is plugged in it shows a shortcut and when we try to open it, it may not open sometimes.Let's see what this command does is it shows the files and folders in the USB drive along with the hidden files.

That's the command.Shortcut virus has two styles in it.One is USB drive shortcut and the other is the file and folder shortcut.The shortcut virus replicates its your files and it replaces with shortcut.exe.It is the combination of both Trojan and worm.you have no option to click on the file or folder once it is attacked with shortcut virus.This is definitely a trojan and holds all the files and folders in hidden state.

First Things First

1.As of all antivirus can't show the shortcut.exe files the first thing you have to do is never open a USB drive when it shows an autoplay.
2.Close that pop-up and try to open with by pressing Right click and then open
